Proto-Turkic

Etymology

EDAL suggests that it may be the same word as *ïŋïr (saddle) and thus reconstructs it as *ẹ̆dŋe-r.[1] However, the general consensus is against this relation.[2][3][4]

Noun

*ēder

  1. (Common Turkic) saddle
    Synonym: *ïŋïr
