Etymology
Parallel to *pakъ (“again”), in which case the origin would (probably) be from Proto-Indo-European *h₁pi (“by, at”) + *-kъ (“denotational suffix”), similar to *tukъ (“here”), *takъ (“thus”), *kakъ (“how”) from *tu (“locative specifier”), *tъ (“that one”), *kъjь (“which, who”) + *-kъ.
