Secondary naw-present from *pináHti ~ *pinHánti, from Proto-Indo-European *pi-né-h₂-ti ~ *pi-nh₂-énti, from *peyh₂- (“to swell (with milk); to be swollen, fat”) + *-né-ti.[1][2][3]
