Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit π ππππΊ (aggi), from Ashokan Prakrit π ππΊ (agi /β aggiβ /), from Sanskrit πππΏπ‘π± (agni). Doublet of πππΏπ‘ (agna), πππΏπ‘π² (agnΔ«), and πππΏππ² (ajΓ±Δ«). Compare Old Gujarati ΰ€ ΰ€ΰ₯ΰ€ΰ€Ώ (aggi), Old Hindi ΰ€ΰ€ΰ€Ώ (Δgi), Old Awadhi ΰ€ΰ€ΰ€Ώ (Δgi), Old Punjabi ΰ¨ ΰ¨ΰ¨Ώ (agi /β aggiβ /), ΰ¨ΰ¨ΰ¨Ώ (Δgi).
