Etymology
From the same root as Hunzib гӏагарлъи (a̯agarλi), Tsez гӏагарлъи (a̯agarλi), Bats გარგალეჼ (gargalẽ), Avar гӏагарлъи (ʻagarlˢi), Chechen гергарниг (gergarnig) and Ingush гаргара (gargara). Might be related to Ancient Greek Γαργαρεῖς (Gargareîs) and Old Armenian գարգարացի (gargaracʻi, “Gargarean”).
