πŒ°π†π„πŒ°

Gothic

Etymology

From Proto-Germanic *aftai. The single occurrence of this word in the Gothic corpus was considered by Streitberg to have been a misreading for πŒ°π†π„π‚πŒ° (aftra). There have since been objections to this interpretation, however, for which see Lehmann (1986).
