Etymology
From โฆษณา (kôot-sà-naa, “to advertise”) + ชวน (chuuan, “to induce; to persuade”) + เชื่อ (chʉ̂ʉa, “to believe”); literally "to advertise for the purpose of inducing belief". Compare with Lao ໂຄສະນາຊວນເຊື່ອ (khō sa nā sūan sư̄a).
