From Pali ṭīkā (“sub-commentary”); perhaps via Old Khmer ṭīkā (“clarification; commentary; decree; explanation; instruction; order; etc”). Cognate with Modern Khmer ដីកា (dəykaa).

ฎีกา • (dii-gaa)
