Etymology
From Proto-Indo-Aryan *manyúṣ, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *manyúš. Cognate with Avestan 𐬨𐬀𐬌𐬥𐬌𐬌𐬎 (mainiiu), 𐬀𐬢𐬭𐬀⸱𐬨𐬀𐬌𐬥𐬌𐬌𐬎 (aŋra.mainiiu) (whence English Angra Mainyu).
