تأمور

Arabic

Etymology

From the root ء م ر (ʔ-m-r) for it sets the pace. Patterns taKLV̄M have augmentative signification in Arabic, compare تَطْلَاب (taṭlāb, assiduous searching), the fact that form II verbs have their verbal nouns regularly taKLīM and sometimes taKLāM (تَجْفَاف (tajfāf), تَكْرَار (takrār)), and another anatomical term تَرْقُوَة (tarquwa, clavicle) (which only ends in ـَة (-a) because of the infirm third radical).

تَأْمُور • (taʔmūr) m (plural تَآمِير (taʔāmīr))
