From Arabic بَيْن (bayn, between, separation) + Arabic المُلْكِيّ (al-mulkiyy, relating to sovereignty or dominion). The Arabic word مُلْك (mulk) (loaned via Classical Persian) is used in the dated sense of "land, country" as is standard in Urdu.
