    שְׁמוֹנַת הַסְּפָרִיםsh'monát has'farímthe eight books
  • The construct form is not used for higher numbers ending in eight, such as twenty-eight:
    עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁמוֹנָה הַסְּפָרִים'esrím ush'moná has'farímthe twenty-eight books
  • In colloquial Modern Hebrew, the form שְׁמוֹנֶה (shmóne) is often used regardless of gender.
