  • The past participle געלאָזן (gelozn) also exists.
  • Similar to German לאָזן זיך can be used to mean: "allow one to X the subject" ער לאז זיך נישט שפייען אין דער קאַשע - he does not allow others to spit in his buckwheat porridge. - he's no pushover.
  • לאָזן זיך can also mean "to release from an obligation" זי לאָז זיך נישט פון עפעס נאָר ווײַל עס איז שווער - she doesn't free herself from her obligation just because something is hard
