In the translations of the Hellenizing School serves as a prefix with the meaning "apo-, ex-, away", in calques of Ancient Greek words with ἐκ (ek) and ἀπό (apó), for example բաց-արձակ (bacʻ-arjak) = ἀπό-λυτος (apó-lutos), բաց-ա-տրեմ (bacʻ-a-trem) = ἀπο-τίθημι (apo-títhēmi).
