Borrowed from Old Church Slavonic надъменъ (nadŭmenŭ, inflated, blown up), from Proto-Slavic *nadъmenъ (inflated, blown up) - passive past participle of *nadǫti (inflate, blow up). Doublet of наду́тый (nadútyj) and до́мна (dómna).
