Etymology

Borrowed from French asthénie, from Ancient Greek ἀσθένεια (asthéneia), from ἀσθενής (asthenḗs, sick, weak), from ἀ- (a-, not, un-) + σθένος (sthénos, strength).[1] Compare Russian астени́я (asteníja), Belarusian астэні́я (asteníja), Polish astenia.
