κώνειον
Ancient Greek
Etymology
Maybe related to κῶνος (kônos, “cone”), due to its narrow leaves with pointed teeth. Furnée connects the word also with κονή (konḗ) and ἀκόνιτον (akóniton), which leads to a Pre-Greek origin.
