Volodymyr Nikiforovych Shapoval (Ukrainian: Володимир Никифорович Шаповал, 9 April 1934 – 25 November 2023) was a Ukrainian Soviet and communist activist, chairman of the executive committee of the Cherkasy regional council. Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR of the 10th-11th convocations, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 1st convocation. Member of the Audit Commission of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1986–1990. Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1990–1991.[1] Shapoval died on 25 November 2023, at the age of 89.[2]
