Vinay Kumar[1] is an Indian politician, social worker, incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency[2] and ongoing deputy speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.[3][4] He is also serving as Working president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.[5]
Early Life and Education
Vinay Kumar, born on 12th March, 1978, in Maina Bagh, Distt. Sirmour, is an Indian politician and agriculturist. He is the son of Late Dr. Prem Singh, a former Chief Parliamentary Secretary in the H.P. Government. Vinay Kumar is married to Smt. Seema Bhushan, and the couple has one son and one daughter.Vinay Kumar completed his 10+2 education.
Political Career
Vinay Kumar has been actively involved in politics, serving as the General Secretary of the Block Congress Committee in Renuka. He also holds the position of Non-official Director at H.P. Agricultural Rural Development Bank Ltd. Additionally, he assumed the role of Working President of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee from June 2022 onwards.
He was elected to the State Legislative Assembly in December 2012 and re-elected in December 2017. During his tenure, he served as the Chief Parliamentary Secretary from 25th December 2012 to 20th December 2017. Vinay Kumar chaired the Renuka Development Board from 2013 to 2017 and was a member of various committees, including Welfare, Library, Research & Reference, and Human Development Committees from 2018 to 2022.
In December 2022, Vinay Kumar secured his third consecutive term in the State Legislative Assembly and was nominated as the Chairman of the Public Administration Committee. He also serves as a Member of the Estimates Committee.

Vinay Kumar is actively involved in social service. His favorite pastimes include reading, traveling, sports, and music.

Vinay Kumar has traveled to several countries, including Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Macau.
