Vanakbara or Brancavará (also spelt Brancawada) is a fishing village[4] along the western tip of Diu. It is around 45 kilometres (28 mi) away from the town of Diu.

Its main attractions are its beach - which lies to the south of the village and the fish market itself[5]

The oldest building in the village is the Nossa Senhora da Misericórdia church, dating to the 1616 AD.[6]
