Roger Kastel (June 11, 1931 – November 8, 2023) was an American artist, most known for creating the posters for the films Jaws (1975) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980).[1][2][3][4]

Biography

Roger Kastel was born in White Plains, New York on June 11, 1931.[5] He later lived in Milford, Massachusetts, occasionally commuting to Manhattan to attend classes at the Art Students League of New York.[2] He died of kidney and heart failure in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 8, 2023, at the age of 92.[6][5]
