The airfield is located five nautical miles (6 mi, 9 km) northwest of the central business district of Little Rock, Arkansas.[1] It is located within the Robinson Maneuver Training Center in North Little Rock, which is home to the Arkansas National Guard.[2]

Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this facility is assigned RBM by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA[3] (which assigned RBM to Straubing-Wallmühle Airport in Germany).[4]
