The road network in Belize consists of over 1,900 miles (3,000 km) of roads, of which approximately 357 miles (575 km) is paved.[1]
Highways
Belize has five major asphalt-paved two-lane roads:
- Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway from Dangriga to Punta Gorda (97 miles or 157 kilometres)
- Hummingbird Highway from Belmopan to Dangriga (55 miles or 89 kilometres)
- Coastal Highway, also known as the Manuel Esquviel Highway, from Dangriga to La Democracia, Belize
- George Price Highway between Belize City and the Guatemalan border near Benque Viejo del Carmen (78.3 miles or 126.0 kilometres)
- Philip Goldson Highway between Belize City and the Mexican border north of Corozal (95 miles or 153 kilometres)
Other roads
- John Smith Airport Link Road, a road from Western Paradise that allows access to Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport without passing through Belize City.
