Rajapur Gopalarao Vijayasarathy was an Indian actor, journalist and film critic who was known for being the only writer of Kannada film reviews for Indo-Asian News Service and Rediff.com during the 2000s.[2] He started his work in the 1970s writing for sports and business columns before transitioning into a film critic.[1][3][4] Reportedly, he was "A familiar face in Kannada films and television, he would be mobbed by fans when spotted at theatres to watch new releases".[1][5]

Personal life

He studied at National College, Bangalore and was Vishnuvardhan's classmate.[1][6] He passed away on 24 February 2013.[7]

He worked as an actor in films and tele-serials such as Operation Antha (1995), Shabdavedhi (2000), Sainika (2002),[8] Haseena (2005),[9] Sirivantha (2006), Preethiya Theru (2010),[10] Aptharakshaka (2010), Rame Gowda vs Krishna Reddy (2010)[11] and Myna (2013).[1][5] He was the dialogue writer for Vishnu Sena (2005).[7][12] He was a distributor.[1]
