Orosei (Sardinian: Orosèi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Nuoro.

The town has 5000 inhabitants and at least 13 churches, including San Giacomo Apostolo and Sa Preione Vezza[3]

Orosei borders the following municipalities: Dorgali, Galtellì, Onifai, Siniscola.

Natural white and grey rocks form a large arch among a bright blue sea with swimmers. The arch and the beige rock behind are covered in scrub.
A natural arch near the Goloritzé falls.

Orosei has tourist-destination beaches, including the Gulf of Orosei, Cala Ginepro, Sas Linnas Sicca Cala Liberotto, Bidderosa Oasis.[4]

The town recognizes two religious festivals, Sant'Isidoro and Santa Maria 'e Mare. They celebrate with processions.[4]
