Oliver Anthony Tanner (born 13 May 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for EFL Championship club Cardiff City.
Career
Born in Bromley,[3] Tanner played youth football for Charlton Athletic and Arsenal before joining the Bromley Academy.[4] After playing for Folkestone Invicta[5] and Lewes,[6] in May 2022 it was announced that he would sign for Cardiff City on 10 June 2022.[4][7] He had turned down a transfer to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in January 2022, receiving death threats from Tottenham fans as a result.[2]
On 9 January 2023, Tanner joined National League club York City on loan for the remainder of the season.[8]
He scored his first professional goal on 16 September 2023 in Cardiff's 2–0 home victory against Swansea City.[9]
