Michael Newberry (born 30 December 1997) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Linfield.[1][2]
Early life
Newberry grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.[3]
Youth career
Newberry joined the youth academy of English side Newcastle at the age of eleven.[4] He was regarded as a prospect while playing for the club.[5]
Senior club career
In 2018, Newberry signed for Icelandic side Víkingur Ólafsvík, where he was regarded as one of the club's most important players.[6]
International career
Newberry represented Northern Ireland internationally at youth level.[7]
Style of play
Newberry can operate as a center-back or full-back.[8]
