Meri Saas Bhoot Hai (transl. My Mother In Law Is Ghost) is an Indian Hindi-language horror-comedy television series. Produced by Film Farm India and an official remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Chuni Panna,[1] it starred Sushmita Mukherjee, Kajal Chauhan and Vibhav Roy.[2][3][4] It aired from 23 January 2023 to 7 July 2023 on Star Bharat.[5]

Production
Sushmita Mukherjee was cast in the titular role, of Ghost as Rekha.[6] Kajal Chauhan was cast as Gaura opposite Mukherjee.[7]
Initially, Namik Paul was in talks to play male lead but couldn't join due to his prior commitments.[8] Vibhav Roy was cast opposite Chauhan.[9] Anushka Srivastava was cast to portray the negative lead.[10]
The series is set against the backdrop of Varanasi.[11] It is mainly shot at the Film City, Mumbai.[12] It replaced RadhaKrishn from 23 January 2023 at the 7:30 PM slot. From 15 June 2023, its timeslot shifted to 9 PM replacing Woh Toh Hai Albelaa.[13]
Adaptations
Meri Saas Bhoot Hai is an official remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Chuni Panna, that aired from 11 November 2019 to 11 October 2020.[1]
