Masood Dakik (born 19 August 1967) is an Afghan-German entrepreneur and lobbyist.[1]

Early life and career

Dakik was born on 19 August 1967 in Kabul, Afghanistan, to father Abdul Khaliq Khan. In 1984, he graduated from Lycée Esteqlal.[2]

In an interview, he said that he was admitted to Kabul Medical School, however since his father was imprisoned during the rule of Barbark Karmal, he fled to West Germany[2][3][4] where he took up employment in management.[2] He then became an oil and gas lobbyist.[5][6]

In 2015, he received the lowest rank of Germany's Federal Cross of Merit.[2][7]

Personal life

In 1996, he married his cousin Nargis Dakik with whom he has three children.[2]
