Martijn, occasionally written as Martyn[lower-alpha 1][./Martijn_(given_name)#cite_note-1 [lower-alpha 1]], Martain or Martein (Dutch pronunciation: [mɑrˈtɛin]) is a Dutch given name.[1] It is a cognate of Martin, and ultimately derived from the Roman Martinus.
In Iceland the name is written as Marteinn. The feminine form is Martina.[1]
