Lasaki [laˈsaki] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Rudnik, within Racibórz County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Rudnik, 12 km (7 mi) north of Racibórz, and 54 km (34 mi) west of the regional capital Katowice.
The name of the village probably originates from the word Lasok, which referred to the workers of the forest. For the first time mentioned in the fifteenth century as a hamlet Sławikowa Sławikowski called Upper Las.[2]
