Léna Mahfouf (born 19 November 1997), also known by her YouTube name Léna Situations, is a French social media personality and author.[1] In 2021, Forbes France ranked her in their annual 30 Under 30 list in the Cinema & Entertainment category.[2]

On May 2, 2022, she was invited to the Met Gala ceremony and became the first French influencer to attend.[3] She also attended that year's Cannes Film Festival.[4]

Biography

Léna Mahfouf was born on November 19, 1997, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris to two parents from Algeria.[5] She is the daughter of Karim Mahfouf, a comics author, illustrator and puppeteer. Her mother was a fashion designer.[6] Her parents fled the Algerian Civil War and came to Paris.[7]

She graduated from the Moda Domani Institute, a business school that specializes in luxury, fashion, and design.[8]

As of February 2020, she was in a relationship with Sébastien Frit. The status of their relationship is unknown.

In 2012, she opened a blog called Léna Situations to share advice on fashion, beauty, and places she enjoyed in Paris.[9]

Social Media

In 2017, she opened her YouTube channel. She has more than 200 published videos and 2.69 million followers on YouTube as of November 2023.[10] She also has 3.2 and 4.5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, respectively.

Career

Her content focuses on her life through vlogs, fashion, and lifestyle videos. She regularly collaborates with other influencers such as Sundy, Bilal Hassani and Jules et Sulivan Gwen.

On August 23, 2022, she announced that she wanted to create an association called Always Plus, to offer advice to students that would help finance their studies. “With my dad, for two years, we have been trying to set up an association to help students and all people who are young, full of ambitions but who are sometimes blocked by a disruptive element, money. This is why I wanted to create an association called “Always Plus” in connection with [my] book,” she announced.[11]

In September 2022, Spotify announced that Mahfouf will host a podcast called Canapé Six Places.[12] "This weekly program, lasting 30 to 45 minutes, will be a talk with or without guests. Spotify promised “confidences”, “rival interviews”, and the discovery of “new facets of the universe” of the fashion influencer, muse for major luxury brands like Dior."[13]

On November 3rd, 2022, she partnered with Adidas and released a collection of 4 pairs of sneakers[14] (co-created with 150 subscribers)[15] making her the first French woman to partner with the brand.[16]

On September 24th, 2020, Mahfouf published a personal development book titled Always More. With more than 60,000 copies sold in less than a month after its release,[17][18] it became the #1 bestseller in France in October 2020.[19] By August 2021, the book had exceeded 370,000 copies sold.[20]

On August 4th, 2023, she was a guest celebrity judge on the second season of Drag Race France in the episode Time Ball.

Mahfouf Hotel

On June 27th, 2022, she launched Hôtel Mahfouf, a clothing and lifestyle brand.[21]
