Komlan Agbeko Assignon (born 21 January 1974)[1] is a Togolese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Assignon played with a number of French clubs, including AS Cannes, AS Beauvais Oise and US Créteil-Lusitanos. His final year of play was with Al Jahra in Kuwait.[2]
Assignon capped for the Togo national team at the 1998, 2000 and 2002 African Cup of Nations. In total he got 20 caps and four goals.[2]
He acquired French nationality by naturalization on 7 June 1996.[3]
Personal life
Assignon's son, Lorenz, is a professional footballer who plays for Rennes.[4]
