Kharaq (Persian: خرق, also Romanized as Kharq; also known as Darreh-ye Palangābād)[3] is a village in Sangar Rural District of the Central District of Faruj County, North Khorasan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,110 in 358 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,203 people in 636 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,418 people in 498 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
