Hitsujibungaku (羊文学) is a Japanese alternative rock band formed by Moeka Shiotsuka (vocals, guitar, songwriting), Yurika Kasai (bass) and Hiroa Fukuda (drums).

Career

The group was formed at school in 2012. Singer Moeka Shiotsuka was sixteen years old at the time.

In 2015, drummer Hiroa Fukuda joins the group.

In 2017, bassist Yurika Kasai joins the group.

In 2018, the group releases their first album, 若者たちへ (To the youth).

In 2020 they release their second album, Powers.

In 2021, Hitsujibungaku composes and performs the opening song of the anime The Heike Story, "Hikaru Toki" (When the light shines).[1]

In April 2022, the group releases their third album, Our hope.

In September 2023, the group releases the single "More than words".

In December 2023, the band releases their fourth album, 12 hugs (like butterflies).
