Gregory Steven Gonzalez (born September 28, 1982)[1][2][3] is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, known for being the frontman for the band Cigarettes After Sex.

Life and career

Greg Gonzalez started playing music at the age of 10, after buying his first guitar and immediately starting to write songs, which eventually led to him creating his first song, "The Ocean", which was an instrumental. He also tried creating songs with Casio keyboards in his house,[4] had joined a metal band and has also experimented jazz music.[5]

In 2008, Gonzalez formed the ambient pop band Cigarettes After Sex, in his hometown. Since the band's formation, they have released two studio albums and 1 extended play.[2]

In 2022, Gonzalez released Charm of Pleasure, a collaborative EP with Italian composer Daniele Luppi, which was supported by two singles; "You Never Loved" and "The Rose You Kept."[6][7][8]
