Garakan (Persian: گركان, also Romanized as Garakān and Gerakān )[3] is a village in Garakan Rural District of the Central District of Ashtian County, Markazi province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 799 in 245 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 692 people in 232 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 660 people in 221 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
