Etlingera gracilis is a monocotyledonous plant species first described by Theodoric Valeton, and given its current name by Rosemary Margaret Smith.[2] Etlingera gracilis is part of the genus Etlingera and the family Zingiberaceae.[3][4]
The species' range is in Sumatra.[3] No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.[3]
