Dacoit: A Love Story[1] is an upcoming pan-Indian action drama film directed by cinematographer Shaneil Deo, in his directorial debut. It is being co-produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios.[2][3] It is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.[4] It stars Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan in the primary lead roles.[5] The film unfolds as a tale of two former lovers forced to re-unite for a series of robberies that promise to alter the course of their lives.[6]
The news about the collaboration and the announcement came out on 12 December.[7][8] The title teaser was released on 20 December 2023.[9] The film is slated for a 2024 release.[1]

Production
Shaneil Deo served as the director of photography for Telugu thrillers like Kshanam (2016) and Goodachari (2018).[5]
Shaneil Deo, said "it is an intense action drama with a beating heart."[1] He stated that the film demanded a rooted, gritty, yet well-mounted and stylish canvas.[3]
