Bryson Daily is an American football quarterback for the Army Black Knights.
Early life and high school
Daily grew up in Abernathy, Texas and attended Abernathy High School where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. In his high school career, Daily completed 314 of his 646 pass attempts for 4,833 yards, 64 touchdowns and 40 interceptions. Daily would also rush for 6,326 yards and 97 touchdowns, while also hauling in two receptions for 77 yards.[1] Daily would decide to commit to play college football at the United States Military Academy.[2][3]
College career
During Daily's true freshman season in 2021, he appeared in only one game.[4]
During the 2022 season, he appeared in five games and finished the season with 12 rushing attempts for 163 yards and two touchdowns.[5] During the Week 7 game against Louisiana–Monroe, Daily made his first career touchdown while running for 64 yards.[6] During the Week 11 game against UMass, he ran six times for 79 yards and a touchdown.[7]
Prior to the 2023 season, Daily was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List.[8] During the season, he was named as the starting quarterback making his first career start against Louisiana-Monroe.[9] During the Week 2 game against Delaware State, he completed eight out of 11 passing attempts for 193 yards and three touchdowns along with nine carries for 65 yards and two rushing touchdowns.[10] During the Week 4 game against Syracuse, he completed nine out of 21 passing attempts for 145 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.[11] During the Week 6 game against Troy, he completed three out of 4 passing attempts for 15 yards and completed 46 rushing yards for 10 attempts before suffering a leg injury before halftime, having him leave the game.[12]
