Braiden McGregor (born July 12, 2001) is an American football defensive end for the Michigan Wolverines.

Early life and high school career

McGregor was born on July 12, 2001. He attended Port Huron Northern High School.[2] McGregor was one of the top defensive ends, and the third best prospect from Michigan, in the 2020 college football recruiting class, receiving scholarship offers from 36 schools, including Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.[3][4]

College career

McGregor committed to the University of Michigan in May 2019 and enrolled there in 2020.[2][5] After tearing MCL, PCL, and meniscus in his right knee during his senior year in high school, McGregor did not play while rehabilitating the knee during his freshman year at Michigan.[6][7] He appeared in nine games as a backup player on the defensive line and special teams in 2021. As a redshirt sophomore in 2022, he appeared in all 14 games and started three games.[2][8][9]

As a redshirt junior in 2023, McGregor became a starter at defensive end. Against UNLV on September 9, he recorded five tackles.
