Bahmai County (Persian: شهرستان بهمئی) is in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Likak.
At the 2006 census, the county's population was 35,067 in 6,583 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 37,048 people in 8,536 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 38,136 in 10,028 households.[2]
Administrative divisions
The population history of Bahmai County's administrative divisions over three consecutive censuses is shown in the following table. The latest census shows two districts, four rural districts, and one city.[2]
After the 2016 census, Bahmai-ye Garmsiri-ye Shomali Rural District was separated from Bahmai-ye Garmsiri District in the establishment of Mombi District, which was divided into two rural districts.[5] The village of Qaleh Mombi was elevated to the status of a city.[6] Sar Asiab-e Yusefi Rural District was likewise separated in the establishment of Sar Asiab-e Yusefi District, also divided into two rural districts.[5] The village of Sar Asiab-e Yusefi was elevated to city status.[6]
