Azizmo Asadullayeva (Tajik: Азизмо Асадуллаева) is the First Lady of Tajikistan and wife of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
Life
Very little is known about her; she rarely accompanies her husband on international trips and usually does not attend public events, with the exception being in 2014, she accompanied Rahmon on a trip to Malaysia, and in September that same year when she attended a state dinner for Chinese leader Xi Jinping.[1] She visited Saudi Arabia in 2016 on a solo trip to perform the Hajj in Mecca.[2]
Family
She and her husband are the parents of nine children – seven daughters and two sons. Her mother, Uzbekbi Asadulloeva, died in July 2021 from COVID-19 at the age of 88. She had lived in the Jaloliddin Balkhi District of the Khatlon Region.[3][4][5] Her brother Hasan Asadullozoda, was head of Orienbank and owner of Somon Air. Another brother, Amonullo Asadulloyev, is the head of Somon Sughd, while another one, Amirullo Asadullo, was Mayor of Bokhtar.[6] Another one Rahmatullo Sadulloev, controlled farmland and businesses in the Khatlon.[7]
