Azare Airstrip is an airstrip10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Azare in Bauchi State, Nigeria.[2]
Azare airstrip also known as Bauchi airport, is located in Azare one of the local government in Bauchi State, near misau road, because of its large landmass, Azare is the second largest city in the State. The Fulani, Barberi, and Hausa tribes influence over the area.[3]
The airport is about 198.2km i.e (2h 16m) from Bauchi, however if you are traveling through kafin madiki-kafin liman-gubi road, it is about 3hrs (245.5km) Azare airstrip has one runway in order to reduce shear stress, the runway surface is made of asphalt, although it is unlighted the runway is in good condition.[3]
