Auchtertyre (Scottish Gaelic: Uachdar Thìre, "Upper Land") is a village, lying half a mile from the north shore of Loch Alsh near Kyle of Lochalsh, in the Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of the Highland Council.^[1]
