Maharaj Anand Singh (born 4 January 1939) is also an Indian politician who was elected as a Member of Parliament to 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th Lok Sabha from the Gonda constituency.[2] He was also a Member of Legislative Assembly and Agriculture Minister for the Government of Uttar Pradesh led by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in his ministry from 2012 to 2017.
He is currently the president of The British India Association Awadh and the President of the Raghvendra Rural Development and Research Organisation (RRDRO).[3]
Anand Singh is the current Maharaja of Mankapur and the head of the royal family, and he is father to current Member Of Parliament Kirti Vardhan Singh, and 3 other daughters (Shivani Roy, Radhika Singh and Niharika Singh)
There were many social activities taken on by Anand Singh such as Welfare programmes for the downtrodden as well as management of schools and other educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
