Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the key caps on an NPET K10V3 keyboard. Over time, key caps can become worn, damaged, or clogged with debris. Removing a faulty key cap is a quick and easy process that requires little to no tools. Each key cap has a sleeve that connects into a housing to allow for proper contact of the membrane's corresponding pressure switches which sends the electric signal to the computer.

Special Requirements:

  • Use a key cap remover if too tight for hands. (optional)

Hazards:

  • Getting shocked if keyboard is not unplugged.

    • Firmly grasp the key that will be removed.

    • Remove the keycap by pulling directly upward.

    • Not pulling straight upward or securely will cause damage to the device.

    • If your fingers cannot get a good grip the key cap, use a key cap puller in the same orientation as with fingers.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
