The underwater Scooter was originally created during World War II by the Italian Navy as a manned torpedo. Where two divers would drive the warhead towards the target, release the warhead and then drive away to a safe distance in order to detonate the warhead. These manned torpedoes had a range of 15 miles, with a top speed of 2.5 knots, or 2.87 mph.

The first commercially available underwater scooter was invented by and East German Chemical Engineer in 1967. It was known as the Aqua Scooter and was able to run for 5 hours at 3 mph.

Identification

The Sublue WhiteShark Mix Underwater Scooter comes in many different colorways, and have a floater that you can choose to attach to the top of the device. It has two separate motors, one on either side of the main body where the battery electronics are stored. The WhiteShark also has two activation buttons, one on each handle, where to activate the motors and propel yourself, you need to depress both at the same time. There is also a safety lock switch on the bottom of the right side handle.
