Identification and Background
Sony Alpha NEX-6 was announced in September, 2012. It was released between the first and second mirrorless digital camera generations.
What really distinguished this camera from NEX-5N and NEX-5R is that the LCD is not a touchscreen like the first generation of mirrorless cameras. Also, the added XGA OLED electronic viewfinder feature really distinguishes this model from all other models.
