Background and Identification
The MK Diamond MK-660 is a small tile saw that can cut ceramic, porcelain, and stone tiles. The saw includes a 7-inch tile saw blade that can cut diagonally up to 10 inches and up to 14 inches long. It includes a 0.75-horsepower direct-drive DC motor that features a blade braking system to stop the cutting blade when the user finishes a cut. The MK-660 operates at 3500 revolutions per minute. The saw’s head adjusts to various heights to perform plunge cuts. Smaller blades can also be installed in place of the 7-inch diamond cutting blade.
The MK-660 weighs approximately 48 pounds and includes two built-in handles for transportation. It features a steel frame and a cast-aluminum deck for reduced weight. The saw also includes a rip guard, water pump for wet cutting, and a blade. It includes a chrome-plated guide car and linear-bearing assembly to produce more precise cuts. The saw also includes a white plastic tub that catches used water when wet cutting.
The Mk-660 model can be identified by the name “MK” printed in bolded letters with a diamond shape and the number “660” on the front of the saw’s main handle, on the blade guard, and on the white plastic tub used for retaining used coolant. The saw’s blade cover and motor cover are a red color.
